This Joint Is Jumpin' hosts a miscellany of popular black American music and video from the 1920s, '30s and '40s, first inspired by the compilation album Burlesque in Jazz. These weren't the most important black musicians of the era; but they certainly deserve to be preserved online. This non-commercial site is still under development. Recorded music and videos are included on the understanding that they are now out of copyright. If you think that this is not the case, contact This Joint is Jumpin'. |
